The President of the European Parliament expected to address the Maltese Parliament later this year.

In a letter sent to Speaker Michael Frendo, the EP President said he wished to use his visit to Malta on 29 November 2010 to speak to Maltese Members of Parliament about those rights and obligations which national parliaments have under the Treaty of Lisbon. Mr Buzek said he wished to strengthen the relationship and coordination between the Maltese House of Representatives and the European Parliament.
