Europe Day 2010 events - Europe Day 2010 activities in Gozo (10/05/2010)
In collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo and the Gozo College, the European Commission Representation in Malta and the European Parliament Office in Malta organised a number of activities to celebrate Europe Day in Gozo, Malta's sister island. These included musical and artistic performances, re-enactments by College students and artistic performances. These activities were also a prelude to the Lejlet Lapsi - Notte Gozitana introductory celebrations which will feature a number of artistic, cultural and folkloristic performances. Maltese European Commissioner John Dalli and The Hon. Giovanna Debono, Minister for Gozo delivered speeches during the events. MEP Louis GRECH (S&D, MT) was also scheduled to speak at the event but had to cancel due to important Labour Party activities.
