Europe Day 2010 events - Europe Day Sports Festival 2010(08/05/2010)

The fourth edition of the European Parliament Sports Festival took place at De La Salle College, Birgu. Some three hundred participants, including Under-14 Football Nurseries from all over Malta and Gozo and children from other philanthropic organisations, this year got a chance to try out a number of sporting disciplines including football, hockey, net ball, volley ball, basket ball and baseball. Footballs printed with the EP logo were distributed to all participating children by Dr Julian Vassallo, Head of the European Parliament Office in Malta, MEP Simon BUSUTTIL (EPP, MT) and Mr William Martin, Acting Head of the European Commission Representation in Malta.
